About Us

Melissa and Megan have a combined 40+ years of experience creating communities through sports & wellness

Melissa McManus

Melissa grew up as a member of the nomadic subculture of Army brats.  Even with the constantly varied environments, the universal theme was always fitness.  Every day was spent actively outdoors with the other kids on base. She began organized sports at 9 years old and continued to share that passion for fitness throughout college.

Melissa spent her early career delivering outpatient counseling services to youth and families with a focus on family reunification and community-based programming.  Melissa also worked with the National Institute of Justice as part of various research projects focusing on mental health, crime, and addiction.  In addition to her counseling and research background, Melissa has always been passionately involved in fitness and the role movement and exercises play in improving mental health. She currently owns and operates Fair Warning Fitness; an umbrella fitness brand that includes The Body Lab and InMOTION, which emphasizes physical literacy and all-around improved health and wellness for all ages.

Melissa attended Ole’ Miss, The University of New Hampshire, and Suffolk University for her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  She lives in Manchester with her husband John and their 11 year old daughter, Barbara.

Megan Farrell

Megan grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania and played competitive tennis and soccer from an early age. After graduating with honors, she went on to play DI tennis at the University of New Hampshire.

Megan received the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship and studied abroad in Ireland where she attained her post graduate degree in Marketing at UCC (University College Cork). While there, she traveled the country and gave presentations on her experiences studying abroad in Dakar, Senegal and her work with the NGO OneWorld.

Deciding to go back to her tennis roots, Megan has spent the last 15 years working in the tennis industry. She ran programs at several clubs and schools, including Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH, Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, MD, Riverdale Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, VT.

She was the Marketing Director at Grand Slam Tennis Tours where she also helped organize and facilitate tennis vacations in the US and Europe.

She’s currently a partner at PlayYourCourt where she’s developed and helped grow the platform into the nation’s largest tennis lesson provider and the fastest growing tennis community.

Megan still teaches and plays tennis in her spare time. You’ll find her either out walking her dogs, playing paddle, skiing, hiking — or anything else outdoors. She lives in Manchester with her husband and 1 yr old daughter, Aoife.
